HADHRAT AYYUB ALAYHIS SALÂM

The Tomb of Ayyub Alayhis Salâm

Ayyub Alayhis Salâm is a great prophet of Allâh Ta‘âlâ who descended from Liys, the son of Ishaq Alayhis Salâm. He lived in Yusuf Alayhis Salâm’s time. He had many children and wealth in Sham (Damascus). As a trial from Allâh Ta‘âlâ, he lost all his wealth, children, and was afflicted with a serious illness. His wife Rahima was his only support, who nursed him meticulously.

Ayyub Alayhis Salâm endured all those trials and calamities; eventually, Allâh Almighty healed him and endowed him a lot of wealth and children again.

Ayyub Alayhis Salâm passed away at the age of 93. After his demise, his son Bishr was charged with prophethood in the land of Sham. Bishr Alayhis Salâm is renowned as Zulkifl Alayhis Salâm.

The illness of Ayyub Alayhis Salâm was not as harmful to cause people to detest him. The words of some historians concerning this matter are untrue. The prophets of Allâh (Alaihimus Salam) are saved from the situations that would cause the dislike of people.
